The dress SHAPE has been rounded at the hemline so that it doesn't matter if you are short ( you won't look like you are drowning in fabric) and if you are Tall ( It won't look like it is at an odd length ) . Having a STRAPLESS SLIP gives the dress the opportunity to be worn all the different ways so that the shoulders can be shown elegantly.
